Lunds konsthall is a venue where interna¬tional contemporary art is displayed and discussed. Exhibitions and art mediation are the primary activities, but there is also room for the production of new art and for art historical research. The gallery operates on the highest international level, but is also clearly anchored in the regional context.

Right in the middle of the city, at the Mårtenstorget square, you will find Lunds konsthall, the municipal gallery of the City of Lund. The building was designed in 1957 by local architect Klas Anshelm and is much appreciated for its rough, minimalist beauty. The serene inner courtyard and the versatile constellation of exhibition halls offer both intimate spaces and open areas. This architecture is very well suited for the different kinds of expression that art offers today.

Lunds konsthall is characterised by generosity, openness and transparency. For every exhibition a small catalogue in both Swedish and English is published and offered to visitors free of charge. A comprehensive tour schedule awaits visitors, and admission is free for all exhibitions and discursive events. Public tours are offered every Thursday and Sunday at 3pm.
